Each website is ranked by its number of linking domains — the count of distinct sites that link to it from their homepage, across our live-web index. It’s the same family of signal as Majestic’s “referring domains”: hard to fake, and a strong proxy for a site’s reach and authority on the real web.
Being upfront about what it is — and isn’t — matters:
The result skews — correctly and like every list of this kind — toward the platforms the whole web links to: social networks, developer and commerce platforms, and major publishers.
The file is a plain CSV — rank,domain,linking_domains — sorted
by rank, one domain per line, ready for Excel, pandas or the command line. It’s regenerated on a rolling basis (roughly
monthly) as our crawl refreshes, and each release is dated. This is our own measurement of the live web, so it will differ
from Tranco, Majestic or Cloudflare Radar — that’s the point: it’s an independent, second opinion.
Yes — the full CSV of one million domains is free, with no signup, login or payment. Use it for research, SEO benchmarking, seed lists or allow-lists; a link back to Piperic as the source is appreciated.
By linking domains: the number of distinct websites that link to each site from their homepage, measured across our index of 25.8M live domains and ~104M links. More distinct linkers = higher rank. It is a link-popularity ranking, not a traffic estimate.
Same idea, different data. Ours is built entirely from Piperic’s own live-web crawl and ranks by homepage-level referring domains, so it’s an independent second opinion — expect differences from lists built on other sources or on traffic panels.
We rank by who links to a site from their homepage, not by traffic, and some giants that block crawlers may be under-represented in derived views. The link graph itself still counts every homepage that links to them, so the most-linked platforms sit at the top.
It’s regenerated on a rolling basis, roughly monthly, as our crawl refreshes. Every release is dated on this page so you always know how current your download is.
Three columns — rank, domain, linking_domains — as plain UTF-8 CSV, sorted by rank, one domain per row. It opens directly in Excel, Google Sheets, pandas or any text tool.
The list is built with a strict valid-domain filter (real letter TLDs, no file paths or malformed hosts) plus a blocklist of URL shorteners and template artifacts (like browser-upgrade links). No filter is perfect, but the aim is a clean, defensible list of real websites.
