How many domains link to your website? The free linking-domain check

In SEO, the number of unique linking domains (also called referring domains) pointing at a site is one of the strongest signals of its authority — far more meaningful than the raw backlink count, because 1,000 links from one site count for far less than links from 1,000 different sites. This free checker tells you how many distinct domains link to any website in the Piperic live-web index, and lets you see who they are.

What we count (honestly)

We measure the unique linking domains that reference a site from their homepage, discovered across our index of 34M live domains. This is a clean, spam-resistant view of who links to you across the real, live web — not an inflated all-time backlink number. It’s the same graph that powers our Linking domains to X pages.

• Linking domains — the count of distinct domains linking to the target (deduplicated, one per domain).
• Who they are — a sample of the actual linking sites, each with its full profile (category, country, tech, contact).
• Full list — for well-referenced sites, the complete Majestic-style “linking domains to X” page.

Note: this counts homepage-level linking domains found in our live-web crawl — it is not a claim of total historical backlinks (as a dedicated backlink index like Ahrefs/Majestic would report). It’s an honest, spam-resistant “who links to you on the live web” signal.
