Claire (b. 1992 Akron, OH) began to explore paper marbling while making endsheets for a college bookmaking project. Her first experiments involved a large tray of plain water and thinned oil paint. The revelatory feeling of watching the material color swirl with the current and capturing it instantly on a paper sparked an interest in marbling that has never gone away.
