Sammy Dent is a painter of ephemeral ideas and the physical blooming and decaying of evolving life, including plant life, pods and seeds, which are the metaphoric space in which our human origins are stored. Expressed through colour in an ongoing playful and experimental use of mediums and methods, culminating in paintings that provoke contemplation, with colour upon colour assembled instinctively.
