Before the year 1950 all the Churches in RiBhoi area were under umbrella of the Shillong Presbytery, KJP Synod. In 1950 the Shillong Presbytery was bifurcated into two presbyteries were known as the ShillongRi War Presbytery and shilling RiBhoi Presbytery. In 1971, the Shillong Ri Bhoi Presbytery was then bifurcated into Shillong RiLum Presbytery and RiBhoi Presbytery.
