Since its inaugural year in 1989, the NC Ducks Unlimited Band the Billfish Tournament has helped to promote the awareness of the scientific value of billfish tagging, establish required minimums to protect smaller fish, and create and maintain numerous Ducks Unlimited habitat projects within North Carolina and surrounding areas.
