Serving the communities of Lagarto, Arrowhead, Pernitas Point, Carmel Hills, Lake Shore, and Barbon, as well as many outlying homes, businesses, and smaller communities, the Lagarto Volunteer Fire Department functions as a 24-hour emergency services responder to the southern and southwestern portions of Live Oak County, Texas.
