Our philosophy: Learning is a collaborative effort. A lecture by itself is not teaching. Listening to a lecture is a limited learning experience. Students retain knowledge and skills best if they have opportunities to consider and apply what they have learned. Students learn in different ways so a variety of resources (presentations, written overviews, audio-visual materials, etc.) and viewpoints (with both pros and cons) should be presented. Guidance and feedback, not grades, best help students
