Karen Gibbons: This site shows the work of multi-media artist, Karen Gibbons. Her work includes large energetic and colorful abstract drawings made with graphite and chalk. She also makes mixed media sculpture and mixed media paintings using an assemblage technique, incorporating found objects, oil paint, pastels and other materials. The work is evocative and organic with both a primitive sensibility and a sophisticated intelligence.
