Gaurav Torch was established in 1992 by Shri Virendra A Jain in Indore, Madhya Pradesh as a small-scale manufacturer of liquid batteries. The company later expanded into the production of rechargeable torches and flashlights, and set up its first factory in Indore to manufacture in-house products. In 2000, Gaurav Torch began manufacturing lead acid and launched its first series of dry batteries, leading to the establishment of a full-scale factory for the manufacturing of Torch, liquid batteries
