Welcome to the Falkenberg lab! Our group is interested in the basic mechanisms of human mitochondrial DNA replication and how this process is regulated. We also study the effects of pathological mutations in human disease. Our research is based mainly on in vitro biochemical approaches using recombinant proteins and artificial templates.
