Dwight Chapin was Personal Aide; Special Assistant; then Deputy Assistant to President Richard Nixon, responsible for the planning and execution of the President’s schedule and appearances, and oversight of the White House Advance and Television Offices. He was acting Chief of Protocol for the President’s 1972 historic trip to China.
