The Alleghany Highlands Industrial Heritage and Technology Discovery Center is an initiative to preserve and display the history of the industrial development of the Alleghany Highlands including agriculture, tanneries, brick yards, lumber mills, iron furnaces, machine shops, the paper mill, the silk mill, the rayon plant, the film and fiber industry, and other industrial enterprises.
