CoreyJMiles is an ethnographer of the black South. Currently, he is an assistant professor of sociology and Africana Studies at Tulane University. His book Vibe: The Sound and Feeling of Black Life in the American South is a finalist for the C. Wright Mills Book Award from the Society for the Study of Social Problems.
