A Republican, was first elected in November 2016 to a seat in the Georgia Senate representing the 28th District (now the 6th District) which includes Coweta and Heard, as well as portions of Carroll, Heard and Coweta Counties. Senator Matt Brass currently serves as chairman of the Rules Committee, Secretary of the Children and Families Committee, and Ex-Officio of the Natural Resources and Environment Committee. Senator Brass also serves as a member on many Committees.
