Ashton Zyer was born and raised in Ventura County. After releasing her first album Silently in 2004 she was discovered by Ajay Shah, previously with Kenneth “Babyface” Edmonds and (then) wife Tracey Edmonds’ of Yab Yum Records, a part of Edmonds Entertainment Group. In 2006 Zyer joined Ajay Shah and Melodic Entertainment group as a writer and associated producer.
