Amy Lydall. Artist. We all have a body yet few of us fully understand the complexities and sophistication of its mechanics. When presented with images of our internal functioning we assume them to be truthful and correct because we know no better. Concentrating on medical imagery of a linear, diagrammatic nature I employ a combination of memory and observation to compose drawings which deconstruct the original imagery creating a version of reality, subtly distorted by my interventions.
