AcroAlliance is a R&D project that involves research and industry partners from Brazil and Germany, with expertise on the macaúba palm (Acrocomia aculeata, macaw palm) to develop sustainable value webs for vegetable oils, proteins and fibres. We envision the sustainable use of biodiversity for: diversifying agriculture; ecological restoration and ecosystem services; developing sustainable and inclusive agricultural systems through agroforestry; diversifying vegetable oils, proteins and fibres.
