Soil Tectonics uses soil development features to determine the ages of geomorphic surfaces. We evaluate soil profiles for evidence of the age of earth movement involving tectonism, landsliding, and liquefaction. Most clients are engineering geologists who have been asked to assess the seismic or landslide hazards at a particular building site.
