This website offers research into Indonesian Contemporary Art of the Reformasi period. The Reformasi period saw the downfall of President Suharto after some thirty years of repression. A generation of activist artists used their art to express opposition to the socio-political structures of the regime with little support from either the public or, initially, the art market.
