M Lanzoni holds a doctorate in water resources and has worked on water projects in the Middle East and North Africa. She is a recipient of the Ellen Meloy Desert Writers Award and a Massachusetts Cultural Council Fellowship. Her creative writing has appeared in North American Review, Camas, and Creative Nonfiction. She is currently at work on a book-length project of creative nonfiction.
