Krishna Bose has been a Member of Parliament in India in the 11th (1996-1998), 12th, (1998-1999) and 13th (1999-2004) Lok Sabhas. During the term of the 13th Lok Sabha (1999-2004) she served as Chairperson of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on External Affairs in India which oversees the conduct of India’s foreign policy.
