My family started doing Jesse Tree devotions together when my oldest children were three or four years old. It was one of the highlights of the Advent season for us. My kids loved finding the right ornament every evening and we enjoyed our time together reading the Bible story and talking about it. Over the years we used a few different devotionals, and though they were all good, I always wondered why Jesse Tree devotionals were named for a piece of scripture that prophesied about the Messiah’
