The U.S. Forest Service is proposing the 4,401-acre Bear Palmer Forest Health Project near Jardine, MT, on the doorstep of Yellowstone National Park — including 2,126 acres of commercial logging. The public comment period closed June 1, 2026; a Forest Service decision is pending.
