This is the official website of the Handwriting Identification for Calligraphy and Manuscripts in Arabic project, abbreviated as HICMA, as the HICMA project, is a new initiative led by Anis Ismail, during his days as a Computer Engineering student at the School of Engineering at the Lebanese American University, Byblos, Lebanon. It aims to fulfill the need for a reliable, open-source, and open-access dataset in the field of Arabic Text Recognition using Artificial Intelligence.
