Our laboratory focuses on understanding how the neuroepigenome governs regulation of higher order brain function via chromatin packaging control in neurons. Our studies should provide broad insights into novel epigenetic mechanisms underlying human neurodegenerative disorders such as Alzheimer’s disease, and lay the groundwork for epigenetic based therapeutic approaches for early intervention of cognitive disorders.
