Doann Houghton-Alico, a prize-winning author and poet, recently completed a 10-year sailing circumnavigation. Using universal and introspective perceptions based on the circumnavigation, she explores global and local issues first-hand both in Dancing Fish, her chapbook published in 2011, and her upcoming memoir to be published in 2013.
