History of the Beecher Fire Department and the Beecher Fire Protection District. A committee was appointed by the Village Board on June 20, 1884 to form the nucleus of what is now know as the Beecher Fire Protection District. The first fire company was formed in January 1887 with Henry Hack as the fire marshal. The fire company consisted of 24 volunteers.
