Bayan was established in 2011 as the first independent, not-for-profit Islamic educational institution that offered accredited graduate degrees in Islamic Studies - with the aim of creating a world that understands Islam in a modern context. Bayan’s mission focuses on cultivating the next generation of leaders and scholars for Muslim American communities, building capacity grounded in Islamic values and effective at impacting society at large.
