The Atlantic Diabetes in Pregnancy (DIP) initiative was established in 2005 with funding from the Health Research Board of Ireland. It is a joint venture involving hospitals within the Saolta Hospital Group and the National University of Ireland Galway. Its primary aim is to engage in high quality research and use this information to develop a bespoke service for women with diabetes before, during and after pregnancy.
