James R. Bakker, at the age of fifteen, opened the doors to his first antiques shop on June 25, 1968. Over the next fifty years, Bakker had galleries in Littleton, Cambridge, Boston, and Provincetown. Bakker Gallery specializes in American art with an emphasis on works by artists associated with the Provincetown Art Colony created over the past 120 years. Bakker also conducts online auctions throughout the year featuring historic and contemporary Cape and Provincetown art.
